Dr. Ford’s career in dentistry began as a teenager in 2001 when she started working as a dental assistant in an office in her small Kentucky hometown. She quickly realized that dentistry was her career of choice because she loved the technical, hands-on aspects of dentistry, as well as the relationships it allowed her to build with patients. She subsequently graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene. From there, she continued her education at the University of Kentucky, where she graduated from the College of Dentistry in 2012.
Dr. Ford remains passionate about staying on the leading edge of dentistry and devotes a significant amount of time to continuing education each year. She enjoys all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry and loves serving all members of the family. She understands that dental phobia is a very real, significant issue that affects many patients. As such, she finds great satisfaction working with patients who suffer from this anxiety and helping them work through and overcome their fears.
Dr. Ford has been married for over 15 years to her high school sweetheart, Dr. Steven Ford. He works as a physician in the NICU at Tampa General Hospital. They have three children who keep them busy! They spend a lot of their time engaged in activities with their children or with their church family at Henderson Boulevard Church of Christ. As often as they can, they love traveling and exploring all of the wonderful attractions that Florida has to offer! (Especially Disney World!). Dr. Ford has also developed a love for tennis since moving to Florida, so you will often find her out on the courts in her free time.
