As a family owned and operated business, we’ve had the opportunity and privilege over the past 40 plus years, to develop strong ties to Tampa, and its surrounding areas, including Wesley Chapel. We take pride in supporting and engaging with our local communities, and this will remain our passion as long as we are in business.

Patient Education
From the very beginning of McIlwain Dental Specialists, our doctors have been committed not only to providing the highest level of care, but also to educating patients so they can maintain healthy, confident smiles for life. Since the time of Dr. James, our pediatric dentists have visited elementary schools throughout the Tampa Bay area, teaching children the importance of proper oral hygiene, and making it engaging and fun along the way.
Buddy Run
McIlwain Dental Specialists has proudly partnered with Buddy Run for over ten years, helping strengthen and support our local community. This event benefits Buddy Baseball, a non-competitive recreational league for boys and girls with special needs based in Temple Terrace, Florida. The league fosters meaningful friendships, breaks down barriers, and provides a truly unique opportunity for children with special needs to play, connect, and thrive.
Christ the King Carnival
This annual event, hosted on the grounds of Christ the King Catholic Church and School, brings together the familiar thrills of classic rides, delicious fair food, and cherished family memories. McIlwain Dental Specialists partners with the carnival by sponsoring multiple rides, helping strengthen connections with families and friends throughout the South Tampa community.
