Both of our dental offices, in Tampa and in Wesley Chapel, offer a multitude of dental plans. We update our list regularly so if you do not see your insurance plan, please call us, our staff can look up your insurance information to make sure you’re covered before your first visit.
We strive to come as close to your insurance coverage as possible. We teach you, work with you, and walk with you at each step of your dental treatment to make sure you receive the best possible dental care.

We work with all dental plans that allow the patient to choose their own dentist.
* For orthodontic treatments, Dr. Ahren’s is a provider with most dental insurance plans. Please call our office for answers to any of your insurance questions.
Financing
We Accept ProceedFinance
Proceed Finance is a patient financing option designed specifically for dental care, helping patients manage the cost of more comprehensive treatments. It allows you to spread the cost of your procedure over predictable monthly payments rather than paying the full amount upfront.
Proceed Finance is commonly used for larger dental treatments such as dental implants, full-mouth restorations, and cosmetic procedures, and offers longer repayment terms tailored to fit a variety of budgets.
At McIlwain Dental Specialists, we are pleased to offer Proceed Finance as an additional financing solution for patients who may prefer extended payment options. Approval is based on credit review, and terms vary by individual. For complete details regarding financing terms, please review the Proceed Finance loan agreement during the application process. We Accept CareCredit
CareCredit is a healthcare credit card designed to help patients manage the cost of dental and healthcare treatments. It allows you to pay for procedures with convenient monthly payments rather than paying the full amount upfront.
CareCredit is accepted at over 200,000 providers nationwide, including dental, vision, cosmetic, veterinary, and other healthcare services.
At McIlwain Dental Specialists, we are pleased to offer CareCredit with no interest for up to 12 months upon approval, making it easier to fit your dental care into your budget. If you don’t currently have dental insurance – or – if your employer is considering dropping your dental coverage, then we have great news!
We now have an easy solution just for you. We now have our own in-house dental wellness plan that provides all the rewards of dental insurance without the headaches. Every family member can join too.
For a small monthly membership fee, you will receive complimentary:
- Bi-annual dental cleanings
- Bi-annual doctor exams
- Bitewing (cavity checking) x-rays
- 1 yearly emergency exam and x-ray
